We design and install our award-winning traditional and modern conservatories throughout Suffolk and are happy to visit Dunwich to discuss your requirements if you are looking for a conservatory or orangery.

Whether you are looking for a conservatory for a period or contemporary home, we believe that we can design a conservatory that will complement your property and become an important focal point for your family and visitors.

All our conservatories are bespoke made in our workshops by craftsmen using traditional skills. We marry their skills with modern fitments and double-glazing to ensure excellent insulation and a draught-free environment so that you can enjoy your conservatory not just in the summer, but through the winter as well.

Dunwich was once a thriving city and its harbour home to an important boat building industry and a fleet of royal ships. But in 1328 strong winds blew shingle across the entrance to the River Blyth and that was the beginning of the end of the town.

The sea continued to erode the land around the town and six churches and much of the old town are now at the bottom of the sea. Legend has it that on a quiet night you can still hear the church bells as they ring out from there.

Today all that is left is a small hamlet and a small population of just 120 people. You can find a model of how the town looked in the 12th century in the Dunwich Museum. Dunwich Heath, which surrounds the town is owned by the National Trust and has a visitor centre in the old Coastguard cottages.

Dunwich is still being reclaimed by the sea, the cliffs constantly giving way and sending yet more land tumbling to the beach below before the tide washes it into the sea.
